Lots of Mud but No Lotus
As Above, So Below. These are complex times mirrored by the astrology and vice versa. 2025 is definitely not business as usual, so demanding an immediate return to an imagined better past when life was simpler, blaming others or bemoaning our fate is pointless. The only way forward is learning how to recognise then negotiate these unprecedented inner and outer Edgelands.
This is a landscape where nothing is clear cut, where the Air (Pluto in Aquarius) is turning toxic, where Water (Saturn/Node of Fate/Neptune in Pisces) and Earth (Uranus in Taurus) are creating a muddy marshland, while Fire (Venus in Aries followed by Neptune and Saturn) is sending up random jets of hot steam to be followed later in the year by underwater volcanos.
If it feels like you’re wading through the mud without even a glimpse of a lotus, as if you’re stuck in a swamp of inertia even in the face of increasingly manic outer world events, remember that Mars-archetype of libido and life force- has been retrograde since last December and is very slowly backtracking through watery Yin Cancer until February 24th.
That means it’s a period for readjusting your sightlines, for paying closer attention to what is, to the actual terrain you stand on, inhabit and can influence, so that you can better track then navigate the unending flux and flow of this year of wild weather.
At February 12th’s Full Moon in Leo in a Fixed T Square with Sun/ Mercury in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, be ready for shocking new information to instantly update your old map of reality.
Q: Will you update your perspective to fit the new landscape or insist against all evidence that your old map is still accurate?
Q: Which of your old beliefs about life, about the world, about your part in it, no longer make sense?
The Map is not the Territory
This means that you are separate from reality. The menu is not the food. The road map is not the city. The map of the world you have in your mind is not the real world. You short change yourself of your full potential when you believe your mental map of the world is the territory you deal with every day.
If you take your assumptions of people’s behaviours, your position in the world, how people perceive you, or anything as reality – when it is merely your mental map painted from abstract understandings – you cheat yourself out what you can become. Instead of interacting with the world, you interact with your map. Your mind is a projector, not a camera.

SIGN FORECASTS FEBRUARY 2- 9 2025
♈ Aries
Wednesday’s Full Moon in fellow Fire sign Leo is a wake- up call not to neglect your creative side in all the doom and gloom. Instead of focusing on what’s wrong with the world, start where you are by picking up an old passion again to see if it still has juice. Do something just for you that lifts your spirits.
♉ Taurus
New and possibly shocking information arrives at Wednesday’s Leo Full Moon courtesy of Awakener Uranus in your sign. This could be about someone in your family or tribe or a sudden insight into your own blindsides. Don’t respond immediately but let it sink in for a while.
♊ Gemini
Expect to be in the thick of it with neighbours, your local community and friends at the Full Moon midweek. Surprising news or a piece of jarring information could come your way, prompting you to consult with people you trust. As your own planet Mercury returns to Pisces, you start to re-imagine your direction.
♋ Cancer
This long Mars retrograde in your sign is draining your energy and your spirits more than usual. Could you reframe this period as an opportunity to really catch up with yourself, to slow down sufficiently to gain a fresh perspective on where you ‘re heading and possibly see where a course correction is needed?
♌ Leo
Each year, the annual Full Moon in your own sign shines a spotlight on the state of your friendships, personal or professional partnerships, alliances and networks. This can be an emotional time when you start to really notice who lifts you and who drains you; who supports you and who just takes and takes.
♍ Virgo
Expect your imagination and creativity to reach a high around Wednesday’s Leo Full Moon. Whatever you’re working on at the moment, expect to suddenly see it from a different angle as unpredictable Uranus opens your eyes to new and innovative ideas. Even if they mean redrawing the blueprint, take them on board.
♎ Libra
As Mercury moves into your angle of work and wellbeing alongside Saturn and Neptune, it’s time to face those niggling issues you’ve been ignoring. Whether it means setting up a health check or re-organising your work load, don’t leave it any longer.
♏ Scorpio
Sparks may fly in your closest relationship at Wednesday’s Leo Full Moon. Whether they are sparks of passion or sparks of rage remains to be seen. If you’ve been feeling that life is all work and no play, do something special and meaningful for yourself.
♐ Sagittarius
You may receive some interesting and unexpected news around Wednesday’s Full Moon that has the potential to open a door for you. If the timing feels right, grab the opportunity to explore bigger horizons with both hands. With Venus in fellow Fire sign Aries, take a leap of faith and back yourself.
♑ Capricorn
At midweek, don’t be surprised if one of those touchy sensitive subjects-death, taxes, intimacy, finances-may reappear to grab your attention. It’s likely to come via a new piece of information or the sudden revelation of a secret and could make you reevaluate what you feel about someone close. If so, take some time to digest it and decide how to respond.
♒ Aquarius
On Wednesday the annual Full Moon in Leo shines a light on partners and family. There could be some surprising news which causes you to reappraise what you thought was true. This is a time when the weakest link in your relationships finally snaps. Refuse to get embroiled in soap operas and dramas.
♓ Pisces
Tread carefully midweek at the Leo Full Moon, as those around you are likely to be extra emotional. Your work place could suddenly become a minefield of old resentments or personal dramas. By all means be empathetic but hold back on the truth telling- it won’t go down well.
Chandra Symbol Full Moon LEO 25: A circle of neat houses, each one identical.
“Mapping out a blueprint, a great plan. Designing the perfect escape route, which is anonymity. Going under for the duration, you make absolutely sure that you look and act like a clone of any given prototype that calls no attention to itself. The inside track becomes as fanciful and free as the outside track becomes innocuous and banal. It is half-mad in that it is so suppressive to any prospects of expressing and embodying your real self in this world. And it is half-brilliant, offering such outward stability that the inward formative chaos can romp without disturbing anybody. Ultimately it is the perfect way to grapple with being vastly other, yet still needing and wanting to be an integral part of things--loved, accepted, and welcomed.” Inside Degrees Elias Lonsdale
Thank you, Lorna. You just changed my perspective, i.e. my mental map went to the backseat.
Love to you.
Thank you.
